The first event is the Girls of Nashville show at the Kessler Theater on Saturday night. Hear Ashley Ray, Heather Morgan, Alyssa Micheala, and Liz Rose play their songs and tell the stories behind them. They have written a number of hit songs. You can buy tickets here.
Then go to the second event – songwriting workshop at the Sons of Hermann Hall on Sunday from Noon – 4 p.m. with Ashley Ray, Heather Morgan, and Liz Rose. The workshop will cover:

Then come to the regular DSA second Tuesday meeting and listen to Elizabeth Wills, who will discuss working with a major label versus producing your own music. Elizabeth Wills is a touring songwriter, who has played at Uncle Calvin’s. She also opened the Kerrville Folk Festival this year. She will be play at Poor David’s Pub on June 17 for her cd release party. It will be an entertaining presentation. She will also play a few of her songs.
The DSA meeting will be at the Meadows Conference Center and will start at 6:30 with networking. Business will be discussed at 7 p.m., followed by the program with Elizabeth Wills. Then there will be a song critique. Bring your song on cd (or send mp3 to Harry Hewlett -email@example.com ) and bring 20 lyric sheets with just the name of the song and the lyrics, and $10. The meeting is free for members, $5 for visitors.
